Angelo Mangiarotti "Vesuvio" Ceramic Vase for Gabbianelli, Italy circa 1960s. A rare and uncommon dark anthracite greenish gray matte glaze. Modern truncated shape with ribbed opening. Recessed ribbed base. Marked with the Gabbianelli "G" logo to the bottom. Measures 9.5" H x 19" DIA. Opening 7.25" DIA. Very good vintage condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. A couple of "glaze pops" are present and inherent to the glaze and firing process. |
